Ian Andrews recently Tweeted that he had recently recorded Norellia spinipes at three locations in East Yorks. I also recorded one, a female, at Fineshade Wood, Northants on 3/11/2018. It was in an area of carr on the edge of the wood and, like Ian's records, some distance from known daffodil sites.
In order to add posts and comments to these forums you need to be logged in to the website. Some people have reported difficulties in trying to log in. The first thing to say is that you can only log in if you are a member of Dipterists Forum - you can read the forums as a non-member but to contribute you need to be a member, and you would be very welcome to join us if you aren't already!
If you are a member you should be able to log in, but two things need to be in place:
I have created a page on Curating Diptera. I thought I was adding it to the Resources - DF membership area but it has not appeared there. so where is it and how do I put it in the correct location?
Thanks for the comments about difficulties uploading and captioning photos. I'm aware that this is problematic - that's partly because there are several different options for adding photos and I need to work out which one works best and then add guidance to the Help pages. But it's also partly because the photo upload options are not as user-friendly as I would like. I'll ask the developers if there is anything that can be done to improve this.
It doesn't appear to be possible to edit a caption once it has been saved?
Just responded to Nigel Jones' post 'Test message'. Seems I can only see his original post, not my reply, unless I log in. No issue with that except that I could see (so I suppose non-Members could also see?) a whole thread on the old website without logging in. Is that how the new page is meant to work?
Uploading files is a bit complex. Below is the process. Can this be simplified in any way?
Is there a facility for searching the website e.g. for a particular Genus or Species, or for an individual or group of DF Members?
