Potassium hydroxide 10% | Dipterists forum

I'm trying to find a supplier of 10% KOH for clearing insect abdomens. In the past I have got this from Anglian Leps but they don't do it any more and other usual suppliers don't see, to either.

Any ideas where I can get a supply

for about £10 including postage.

Alternatively you should be able to buy pellets or flakes of KOH, and make up your own solution.

As Tony has suggested, I buy flakes online (eBay) and make up my own batches of 10% KOH. 111g of flakes to 888g of deionised water.
