I'm just posting this to try and galvanise the forums into action.
Roger Morris passed me a box full of Lonchaeidae at last weekend's Empid & Hybotid workshop. In the box was a male Earomyia viridana. A species and in fact genus I have not encountered in about a decade of collecting, so thanks Roger!
By the way I welcome Lonchaeidae specimens and will gladly identify material for people and provide a spreadsheet of the resulting records. I might even start a study group........

Nearly all the lonchaeids I find are females - any tips on finding the males Nigel?
