Biology
Adults occur in grasslands, usually on calcareous download but also in hay meadows and woodland clearings. They are often seen on open flowers such as Hogweed and other umbellifers.
Larvae are believed to be parasitoids of Lepidoptera larvae, but the host is not known for certain.
