Tipula confusa?

I know nothing much about craneflies, but I'm trying to ID these two which were both photographed in the Peterborough area  within a couple of metres of each other.  2nd October 2020.  I think they might be Tipula confusa - help with gender would also be useful:  I'm thinking that the first is male and the second is female?  Thank you.
