Hi all
I am new to the forum and am hoping for your kind help with identification of 2 flies photographed on Lundy in May. Apologies that images aren't of the highest quality but if possible we would like to include these on the list of inverbrates seen during our trip so they can be recorded in the island's log book. I think that both are common - one being a Greenbottle (Lucilia Caesar) and the other possibly Anthomyia Pluvalis, but my knowledge is limited and tentative suggestions are based on a Collins Guide. Any help would be most appreciated
Many thanks
Mark

I would agree that the greenbottle is a Lucilia species, and that the anthomyiid is an Anthomyia species, but I'd be hesitant to say which from these photos.
