fly ID edinburgh | Dipterists forum

Any help with approx ID would be be appreciated. The fly is approx 3mm, including wings, found beside a garden pond.

Can't see enough detail to be certain, but the size and appearance suggest one of the Coenosia species to me (family Muscidae).
