Summer Field Meeting 2025 - Glen Affric

The DF summer field meeting 2025 will be held in Glen Affric in Scotland, about an hour’s drive southwest of Inverness. We have booked six self-catering Woodland Lodges at Tomich. The price per lodge (not per person) for the week will be £670. Each two-story lodge has a kitchen/dining/living area and three bedrooms, one double and two twin rooms. Our expectation is that three people would share one lodge, (although obviously more people could squeeze in if they wished!). Assuming we can fill all the lodges, this means a cost of about £224 per room. The bedrooms are not en-suite; each lodge has one bathroom and an extra loo. Although we won’t have a shared workroom, we will be the only residents in the lodges so it should still be a sociable week. 

To book a place on the meeting a deposit of £50 is required, with the remaining amount payable in April 2025. The preferred method of payment of your deposit is by bank transfer using the following details:

Please add your name to the payment reference AND send an email to both the Treasurer (Phil Brighton) and the Secretary. Cheques should be sent to the Treasurer (see the Bulletin for details) and email both of us so that we know you have done this. If you have already arranged who to share with, let us know when you book

Update 24th September: We have now received deposits for all the rooms in the lodges. We will keep a waiting list, in case of cancellations. There are some additional holiday cottages available on the Tomich Estate. These have only 2 bedrooms (a double and a twin), so would be a bit more expensive per room than the lodges. As the DF has not reserved any of these you would need to book them yourselves.
