2021 Dipterists Day meeting

Due to ongoing concerns and issues relating to Covid-19 the difficult decision has been taken to again hold our event on-line this year. A programme for the morning can be downloaded here.

This year, as well as the usual talks, we are keen to encourage content from our members. To do this we’ve decided to use Padlet, which offers a free-to-use on-line notice board tool. You can create up to 3 notice boards free of charge. Others will be able to view your Padlet and post comments. Please consider creating your own Padlets for any Diptera related highlights from the year that you'd like to share. Once finished you will be given the option to share your Padlet via Twitter (remember to use #DipteristsForum), alternatively they can be shared through the DF website (create a URL for your Padlet and message it to me).

If you would like other members to be able to comment on your Padlet and give feedback you will need to enable the comments function from the modify menu (shown on the right in the image below).

As a guide, for my own Padlet I have enabled the following from the modify menu:

• Attributions - On
• Comments - On
• Reactions - selected 'stars' from the dropdown
• Require Approval - Off
• Filter Profanity - On
