Hi, Found this beautiful little fly on the kitchen window this morning.
Looking at the dipterist gallery it looks like a female Ceratitis capitata, but just wanted to confirm the ID before recording.
Aaahh, apologies, uploading image to go with this question, but can't get to a point where I can see the image in my post. Trying to use the simpler option for image upload. Will check help again and keep trying to sort it out. If it's actually visible to everyone else in the forum, just not me, could someone gently tell me I'm an idiot. Any practical suggestions about what I'm doing wrong also welcome.
Sorry!

Thanks!
Can't figure out any way to get my image to appear so, since it's a fairly distinctive (and apparently non-native and highly invasive) little fly, I've taken the plunge and popped it on irecord anyway.

Your pic on iRecord looks fine for Ceratitis capitata. Presumably emerged from some Christmas fruit.
You're not an idiot. ;)
No picture visible.
